Sarah Lejeune is an urban planner, writer and artist with over thirty years experience working in the public realm. Currently an urban design consultant, Sarah spent 19 years at the City of Santa Monica, implementing the City's vision for public space and public transportation, contributing to the City's ground breaking role in sustainability, alternative transportation and becoming one of the most bike-friendly cities in the nation. During that time she developed a number of award winning policies and projects.

Trained as artist, with an MFA in sculpture in painting from Claremont Graduate University and a background in architectural studies, Sarah has translated her design skills to multiple public projects, including the Exposition Line first -mile, last mile station area designs for the City of Santa Monica, the renaissance of the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood in 1996 and 2019 to craft a digital billboard program, and now with the implementation of Measure M, the public transportation initiative in LA County. As a writer, artist and poet, and advocate, she takes great pride in drafting municipal policies that result in tangible, visible, public benefit.

Ms. Lejeune graduated from Smith College with a BA in Art and English, and Claremont Graduate University with an MFA in Painting and Sculpture.
